Access: Distributed directly by Nobel Biocare: free downloads on its Digital libraries / Local production pages (files hosted on kavokerr.widen.net), no serial-number gating documented; from DentalCAD 3.0 Galway onward libraries can also be downloaded inside the software (Nobel guide GMT73761). exocad's general library portal separately gates library requests behind an exocad serial number plus email, but Nobel's own pages are the documented primary channel.
Packages cover the conical connection at implant and multi-unit level: Universal Base (incl. Angulated Screw Channel), pre-milled titanium abutment blanks, temporary abutments, NobelPearl Ceramic Base, and NobelProcera single/multi-unit restoration libraries; matching model-creator libraries install to a separate exocad folder.

Access: Two documented routes (Nobel guide GMT73761): 3Shape Dental System Control Panel > Tools > Download Center (the DME must be enabled on the dongle; grayed-out entries require 3Shape or the distributor to enable access, then a dongle update), or direct DME download from nobelbiocare.com imported via Control Panel > Import/Export > Import materials.
The DME serves as the product catalog for Nobel Biocare product lines on 3Shape scanners. Nobel's digital-libraries page listed 3Shape library versions v5.0 (single-unit) and v6.0 (multi-unit) as current at time of research (July 2026).

Scan bodies
- OEM intraoral scan bodies for the conical connection are Elos Accurate IO Position Locators, manufactured by Elos Medtech Pinol A/S and distributed by Nobel Biocare; the single-unit kit contains two of each platform size (3.0, NP, RP, WP), with separate single-unit and multi-unit abutment variants sold on the Nobel Biocare store.
- Nobel's Universal Base libraries for exocad/3Shape each list several supported scan body types (Elos Accurate, Nobel Biocare conical connection scan body, PoLo position locators, reverse scan bodies), so the library entry selected must match the physical scan body used.

- Community-reported (Dental Lab Network): with a Nobel Conical Connection RP 1.5 mm scan body in 3Shape, the matching scan flag failed to align with the scan body even after installing the newest Nobel material library — labs are advised to verify library version against the physical scan body revision before designing.
- Manufacturer-documented (Nobel guide GMT73761): the Nobel DME can appear grayed out in 3Shape's Download Center; 3Shape or the local distributor must enable it on the dongle and a dongle update run before the DME becomes selectable, and these downloads may not appear in the Control Panel Import/Export history.
- Community-reported (Dental Lab Network, 2019): Nobel's exocad offering was described as 'universal type' (ti-base) libraries only, with Nobel support directing direct custom-abutment design to 3Shape or NobelProcera; Nobel has since published Procera single/multi-unit restoration libraries for exocad, so current library scope should be re-verified rather than assumed from older forum advice.
- Naming trap: 'NobelReplace Conical Connection' uses the CC prosthetic platform and is grouped with NobelActive by third-party providers (e.g., Medentika F-Series), while classic NobelReplace / Replace Select is tri-channel — selecting the wrong implant family in the CAD library yields the wrong connection geometry.
