Access: exocad distributes official Dentsply Sirona Inc. packages (including 'DentsplySirona EV exocad libraries', 46 libraries, updated 13-05-2026) via the in-software Library Manager or a manual download request gated by exocad serial number and email; a permanent DentalCAD license with active upgrade contract or a Flex license is required. Dentsply Sirona also distributes its exocad libraries (TitaniumBase EV, MultiBase EV, Uni Abutment EV, temporary abutments, Atlantis IO FLO-S) directly at https://mysimplant-service.orderdigitalsolutions.com/ImplantsLibraries after accepting terms, with no serial number gate indicated.
exocad's Dentsply Sirona partner entry also lists FDA, MultiUnit, Ankylos, Lab Analog FDA and Premilled Blanks packages. The 'DentsplySirona Atlantis FLO S FDA Dummy' package is design-only: per exocad, restorations designed with the Atlantis suprastructures FLO-S library can only be milled by Dentsply Sirona.
3Shape

Access: Dentsply Sirona's implant-libraries portal offers 3Shape libraries in version-specific downloads (Dental System 2018, 2019, 2020+ DME) after accepting terms. Libraries can also be obtained through the Download Center in the 3Shape Dental System Control Panel; per 3Shape support, the required libraries must first be enabled on the dongle (via Site Connection Administration or support@3shape.com).
Portal coverage includes TitaniumBase EV and TitaniumBase EV ASA, TempAbutment/Profile EV, MultiBase EV, Uni Abutment EV and Atlantis IO FLO-S. For Atlantis abutment scanning, the Atlantis Implant Kit for 3Shape is a DME file valid for version 1 or higher ('Dentsply Sirona Implants Atlantis abutments_1_20XX.dme'). 3Shape announced Dental System access to the original TitaniumBase EV library files with Dentsply Implants in 2015.

Scan bodies
- OEM options per Dentsply Sirona compatibility chart 32670983-USX-2202 (2022): Atlantis FLO scan bodies for model/desktop scanning (P-01 to P-05) and Atlantis IO FLO for intraoral scanning (IO-P-01 to IO-P-05), size- and color-coded to the five EV Connection interfaces (XS Green through XL Brown, i.e. 3.0-5.4).
- Astra Tech Implant EV Profile 4.2 and 4.8 use dedicated scan bodies (Atlantis FLO P-06/P-07, IO FLO IO-P-06/IO-P-07, Elos Accurate IO 3C-A/IO 3C-B) - they are not covered by the standard EV scan bodies.
- The same EV Connection scan bodies also serve DS PrimeTaper and DS OmniTaper implants, which share the EV Connection.
- 3Shape Scan Bodies for EV exist but, per the OEM chart, can only be used with the validated direct 3Shape-to-Atlantis WebOrder workflow with scan body detection done in 3Shape software; the Atlantis Implant Kit for 3Shape DME is valid for version 1 or higher.
Documented pitfalls
Community-reported and support-documented issues — the kind that stall real cases.
- OEM-documented: it is not possible to scan with 3Shape Scan Bodies, export STLs and submit via Atlantis Scan Upload or any other STL upload - those scan bodies only work in the validated direct 3Shape-to-Atlantis WebOrder workflow (Dentsply Sirona chart 32670983-USX-2202).
- exocad-documented: the DentsplySirona 'Atlantis FLO S FDA Dummy' library is design-only - restorations designed with the Atlantis suprastructures FLO-S library can only be milled by Dentsply Sirona, not in-house.
- Community-reported (dentallabnetwork.com, 2016-2025): labs repeatedly struggled to obtain an official Astra EV TiBase library for exocad; posts state the OEM ti-base was long usable 'only with Atlantis' and members were still requesting the library in 2025, with third-party sources (TruAbutment, DESS, Argen) suggested as workarounds. Dentsply Sirona's mysimplant portal now hosts TitaniumBase EV libraries for exocad and 3Shape.
- Community-reported (dentallabnetwork.com, 2021): claims that the MultiBase EV prosthetic interface matches Nobel-type multi-unit platforms circulate (including from a DESS representative) but other members reported conflicting fit experiences (e.g. BioHorizons); a 3Shape Implant Studio user also could not find Astra EV in the installed Dentsply library list - verify component and library compatibility before mixing systems.
